Jungle Scout Innovation Report: Six Rules for Amazon Success

Jungle Scout has released an innovation report which uses their own insights to help brands define clear principles for approaching Amazon. The report also brings these ideas to life through case studies that show how specific brands have managed to innovate successfully.

Jungle Scout sets out six rules for innovation:

These rules provide pivotal strategies for success on Amazon. As a whole, they form a solid framework that any brand can stand by.

The report also includes case studies across a number of brands such as La Roche Posay, MomCosy and Medicube. The Medicube example focuses on innovation through holding a higher price point than the category and positioning itself in a premium space where there was little competition. They launched far more products than their competitor set which demonstrated the pace of their testing and ability to capitalise on trends. Using a combination of influencer marketing and social channels, Medicube reached an audience that carried through to Amazon for purchase. It clearly shows that Amazon is not just a place for low ticket products but can also be an important growth channel for premium brands when the right strategy is applied.
