Amazon Cuts Fees for 2026 & What This Means for European Sellers

Amazon has announced one of its largest ever fee reductions for sellers across Europe, starting in December 2025 and rolling into 2026. On average, sellers can expect a reduction of about £0.15 / €0.17 per unit sold.
Key changes

  • Lower FBA fulfilment fees: Parcel fulfilment fees in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain will be reduced by an average of £0.26 / €0.32 per unit.
  • Referral fees slashed in key categories: From 15 December 2025:
    • Clothing & accessories referral fees drop from 8% to 5% (for items ≤ £15/€15) and from 15% to 10% for items between £15/€15 and £20/€20.
  • Extended savings from February 2026:
    • Referral fees for home products, pet clothing/food, groceries, vitamins and supplements will also be reduced.
    • “Low-Price FBA” rates will be extended to include more products priced ≤ £20/€20, lowering FBA fees for those items by up to £0.40 / €0.45 per unit.

What this means for sellers

  • Lower fulfilment costs which can improve profitability, especially on high-volume, low-price items.
  • A big incentive to push more “price-sensitive” categories like clothing, home goods, pet supplies, groceries, supplements, etc.
  • More flexibility: with lower fees, there’s a greater margin for competitive pricing or reinvesting in advertising to drive volume.

This is a positive move that should ease margin pressures for many brands, especially those operating in lower-price or high-volume categories. It also signals Amazon’s intent to remain competitive and supportive of long-term seller growth. Let’s see how brands adjust their strategies to take advantage of these improvements in 2026.
